but list it here to allow you to try to save some money by doing some simple DIY edits.
It is free just now, but if they change their policy you would have to buy it
or find another free HTML editor. We also have some other ideas at the bottom of the page.

Top Email Template Editing Tips:

If you have not performed an initial setup of your contact details on the email templates do so easily here

If you just need to do a small change like a telephone number or postal code see here

Always send a test to yourself before a bulk message to all your customers! (saves embarrassment)

If you are happy to experiment and are not afraid of technology continue to read below:

When editing; never use a local picture that is stored on your own computer
e.g., C:\images\myPicture.jpg will NOT work on a customers machine because they do not have a c:\images !!

Pictures must 'already' be on the internet and publicly available !!
e.g., http://www.MySite.com/Images/MyPicture.jpg

Platinums HTML eMail templates are as standard stored here:
C:\Program Files\Alpha task\Platinum
However once installed an HTML web page editor will open the .html file when you go to the
'edit my templates' options on the menu.

Coffee Cup Help...

Our Tips:

Open a template email by clicking top left on the menu and choosing open.

Then find a .HTML file in this folder:

C:\Program Files\Alphatask\Platinum

You can edit the basic text of your templates and click the Preview tab to check that it looks ok.

To save click the top left menu and save.

More details...

The 'Preview' tab is key to seeing how it looks.(the right most of the 3 tabs)

The edit tab (left most) is the one that you must click to edit the HTML text itself.

You can't edit the preview.

The middle tab is the demo/trial download version, if you click it, it will tell you but there is a optional cost if you wanted then to purchase that version.

The links below have help and they do support it themselves if you contact them directly. There is also a 'training movies' area in those links too.

In Platinum, in eMessaging, try clicking the 'change my e-mail' button that is at the top next to "preview my e-mail"

That should open your general message to customers an open it in coffee cup itself.
